Murang’a Schools Outshine in KCPE: Celebrating Top-Performing Candidates

Three public schools in Murang’a County have distinguished themselves as the top performers in the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examinations. These schools are Emmanuel Primary School Kangari, Technology Primary School, and Vidhu Ramji Primary School.

Emmanuel Primary School Kangari, under the administration of the Catholic Diocese of Murang’a, demonstrated remarkable excellence, boasting the highest number of candidates achieving over 400 marks, with an impressive 28 students accomplishing this milestone. Notably, the school produced the county’s top three candidates: Mannesh Kuria (416 marks), Lauren Wangui (416 marks), and Faith Njoki (416 marks).

Securing the second position, Technology Primary School had 15 candidates scoring over 400 marks, with standout performances from Peter Macharia (414 marks), Purity Blessings (410 marks), and Maxwel Maina (406 marks).

Similarly, Vidhu Ramji Primary School celebrated 15 candidates surpassing the 400-mark threshold. Ryan Mwangi emerged as the highest-scoring male candidate in the county with an outstanding 419 marks, while the school’s top female candidate, Mutugi Kellen Njoki, scored an impressive 418 marks.

Kabati Fly Over Academy also made a mark by producing two candidates with scores exceeding 400 marks.

Mrs. Beatrice Wachira, the headmistress of Technology Primary School, expressed her satisfaction with the school’s performance and extended her best wishes to the students for their future endeavors. “We had an exceptional class, and we hope they will secure spots in their preferred secondary schools,” she remarked.
